So, I saw a video on youtube of a person pressing a logitech mouses' middle button and assigning a keystroke of alt+q to quickswitch. I tried this, and it doesn't work. I don't really care, but did nexon do something about this?

Just change it to Q. Alt+Q=/=quickswitch

set primary to mouse wheel up and melee to mouse wheel down
scroll up and down to quickswitch

switch with pistol

Shoot gun, use left hand to press 2, right hand to scroll up (all in rapid succession)

How does it work? I can't do it. I just wondering. I quickswitch with 3+Q. Knife at 3. And scroll up for primary and down for secondary.

I just use mouse wheel up (primary) + 1 (melee) to quickswitch. I need to break my habit and stop quickswitching.

I assign melee as one of my mouse keys, and i switch to knife, and then Q as soon as i spawn in on reflex. After that, I just double tap Q.
