List of Trojans.

Title sums it up.

Trying to get a list of Trojans going here for the Tech section here and wondering if anyone else has had problems with them before or dealing with a few right now.

Uprooted one called Alureon.FO a few hours ago, and that was a pain to get rid of.

If you've had a Trojan or Trojans before, what were the names and were they difficult to remove?


Sidenote on Alureon.FO.

Part of the Alureon Trojan family, where the main functions are to fuck up browser settings, bog-down computer speed, and a few even have a keylogger program that they attempt to install, (easy to get rid of if you can locate and remove the rootkit for it manually).

I had lots of trojan experience.

Normally, I wouldn't resort to a formatting to get rid of a Trojan, (Alureon wasn't the first Trojan), though I may not have an option. Damn thing came back a while ago.

Need to get something to back up certain programs, though it ain't happening till payday this Friday.

One of my friends uses Ubuntu as his OS, and he hasn't had a single virus yet, and he got that OS a few years ago.

I've had Win7 for the past year and I haven't gotten anything serious, just the occasional pirated shit detected as hax by malware.

I've actually thought about upgrading to Win7, until I heard that Windows 8 might be coming out soon.

Hell, they stopped support for those using Vista Service Pack 1. Only a matter of time before support stops for those using Service Pack 2 on Vista.

As long as Windows 7 isn't some derp OS that needs constant upgrades like Vista, and allows me to get rid of the shit Security Essentials that derps on virus/spyware/trojan protection, then I'm getting it.

However, if Unbuntu really is a better alternative, then fuck Win[insert number].

The security essentials is actually better than the vast majority of programs you have to buy.

I still don't use any, it included though.

Every next Windows is the one that gets better.
