for the luka song wher ei can't understand anything, it feels like shes saying the words too fast. but meh thats just me.

I guess that's what happens when i try fusing Japanese influence into English. it's only 156bpm (same as GirlDeMo - Shine Days), which isn't fast at all in Japanese songs, but English songs tend to not go up that fast.

how do u get them to sing a slur?
it never works for me and just sounds like 2 separate notes

i tried to put a word or two in where i have to, but it says it doesnt recognize the phonetics

for a vocaloid 3 slur, you can use the "-". so suppose you wanted to slur the word "one".
the first note would be "w V", and the second would be "- n".

for Japanese banks to sing in English, just gotta play with japanese phonetics. i don't think it'll auto-recognize english words, so you'll have to manually put everything in...

so i could always just switch between the two

iunno, the "-" thing is really helpful. especially since Vocaloid 2 didn't have that feature, and you'd have to join words using two vowels. and then tune it so it sounds natural.

as bad as Luka's English is, i heard it's still much better than using the Japanese bank for English.

i tried something that wasnt original in jap (cause i cant understand it)
it was "Listen!!" cause i found a score for it
but jap is so much easier to do than english!!!
its so hard to get them to say the right words
i spend just as long fiddling with the phonetics as i do with everything else

Rin is really good for rock imo. it's nice and bright, kinda why LiSA's voice is very suited for rock.
but ya, english requires quite a bit of phonetic editing. if you're too lazy (like me) to tweak multiple parameters, just focus on pitch bends. people say dynamics is like the most important, but honestly, you're going to be compressing it in the mix. so it's a not huge deal imo.

by the way, i use EZDrummer, you can torrent it. and omg lucky, i wish i had a bass guitar D=

the problem is that if i wanted to record bass, i'd need to buy a bass guitar, the amp, and a mic. which is more than i can afford....
i don't really want to detune my guitar, but i think my amp has an octave pedal model, so i'll definitely try that out.
