Internet and Desktop.

My desktop is connected to the internet, but It's only ultilizing either 0.01% or 0%. No one in the house are having this problem. Strangely, I can go on TS. Is it a virus?

but you can't go on websites?

Might be your router. Not absolutely sure since this has been happening to me on and off last week.

yea. if something like this happens to me, i'll first restart my computer. if that doesn't fix things, i'll restart my router.

yea. if something like this happens to me, i'll first restart my computer. if that doesn't fix things, i'll restart my router.

Restarted both desktop and router. System restored. Nothing worked...

Do you have correct/updated drivers?

are you using wired or wireless?

A few questions.

When you are doing something online does the network utilization increases (it should and probably will)? I suggest playing a video. It might only go up by a few percent.

Now the more important questions are:

Are you still getting the normal speed you would expect?

Are you getting any more lag or disconnects than you normally do?

If you answered yes and no respectively, then there is really no problem, is there?

No.
Lag? I can't even get into the internet....
Wireless.
Drivers should be correct.

IPv6 isn't online. Think that's the cause...
Can't turn it back online.

That is not the problem.

I think you said that other computers can still connect to the internet, so I'm going to assume the problem is at your computer, not the router.

Edit: Before you answer the questions below: Can you still connect to your network, like to the router? Or can you not connect to anything at all?

Have you installed anything new recently? Updated any drivers or software? Anything that might have caused the wireless to stop working. Also are there any messages or errors in the task bar?

this is a strange problem.
you could try running like another OS on the same computer, and see if the internet works. so you know whether it's a hardware or software problem.

Umm.... huh

You want to install a second OS on a computer just to try and see if its a hardware problem or not? There are other ways to do that. Like I said if there is a problem with the wireless adapter then you will probably be able to get some info from device manager. Assuming he can't connect to anything at all, if he can still connect to his network but can't connect to the internet then that might be something different.

Connected to the router. But no internet access.
Going to back-up and format soon.

You sure you got internet into your router/modem? Just make sure it's not your ISP first

I'm missing rtl120.bpl file. Could that be it?

Files are disappearig. Just lost my boot manager.exe and can't start up the computer...

So system restore is off the list

The restore points disappeared prior to the problem said above. I have to format the desktop for sure now. Can't backup files. Have to redownload everything now. Pictures, wallpapers, music (3 days worth...), etc...
